A point-to-point link connects two locations with a directional radio link. Where digging a trench costs months and tens of thousands of euros, a point-to-point link is often up within a day.
It requires line of sight between the two points. Trees, buildings and growing vegetation all affect whether the connection stays stable all year round.
On sites with separate buildings, a reception located further away, or a temporary construction site, this is often the fastest and cheapest route.
