Offices & Business Premises

Your new office is ready and the move date is fixed, but the fibre is not there yet. We make sure your team can work and video call from day one, and that the office never goes offline afterwards.

  • Online on moving day
  • Priority for Teams
  • Static IP
Peplink business 5G router for an office connection

What it gives you

Online on moving day

A business 5G setup bridges the wait for fibre, so the move does not have to slip.

Video calls without glitches

Teams and video calls get priority on the network; heavy downloads go around them.

Static IP for your own firewall

Your existing firewall and IT setup keep working as you are used to.

A permanent backup once fibre arrives

When the fibre is connected, the mobile setup stays as automatic failover.

Challenges you face

Select a topic for more detail.

The fibre is not ready in time

The situation

The building is leased and fitted out, but the fibre installation is delayed. The move date does not move with it.

What RIAN does

A bonded 5G connection over multiple networks that bridges the wait, sized for the number of employees.

How it works for you

Three steps. One point of contact.

  1. 01

    Site check

We measure mobile coverage in and around the building and check the meter cupboard, server room and facade.

  2. 02

    Installation before the move

Equipment is preconfigured and tested, so the network runs before the team moves in.

  3. 03

    Monitoring and switchover

We monitor the connection 24/7 and add the fibre as soon as it is delivered.

Primary solution

Internet for the office

Fibre as the main line once it is there, bonded 5G over multiple networks until then. After that 5G or Starlink stays as automatic backup, monitored 24/7.

monitoring of the office connection

“A move date should not depend on the fibre schedule.”

Ronan Brunas, RIAN
Short answer

How do I work in a new office when the fibre is not there yet?

With a bonded 5G connection over multiple networks, a static IP address and priority for video calls. Once the fibre is delivered it becomes the main line, and the 5G setup stays as automatic backup.

What you get

What the solution includes

Bridging until fibre

Bonded 5G over multiple networks, with a static IP address for your own firewall.

Backup after delivery

The same equipment stays as automatic failover on the fibre.

Equipment and installation

Network equipment, cabling where needed and full installation by our own engineers.

Management and monitoring

We monitor the connection continuously, update remotely and act before you notice a problem.

One point of contact

Signal, hardware, installation and incidents all run through RIAN. One number to call.

Costs consist of a one-off amount for equipment and installation, plus a fixed monthly fee for connectivity, management and support. The amount depends on the size of the location and what is already in place; you receive a fixed quotation up front.

Preparation

Checklist for your location

What we assess for a suitable proposal.

Preparation
  • Move date and the expected fibre delivery date
  • Number of employees and meeting rooms online at the same time
  • Existing firewall or IT partner, and whether a static IP is needed
  • Access to the building and any working hours or safety rules
  • Existing contracts and notice periods with your current supplier

Frequently asked questions

Is 5G fast enough for a full office?+

Bonding several 5G connections over different networks creates one connection with more capacity and less risk of outage. We measure coverage at the building first and size the setup for the number of users.

What happens to the equipment once the fibre is in?+

It stays. The fibre becomes the main line and the mobile setup takes over automatically if the fibre fails. The static IP address stays the same.

What happens during an incident?+

Our monitoring usually spots a disruption before you do. We resolve it remotely and come on site when needed. You have one point of contact, even when several parties are involved.

How long does installation take?+

That depends on the size of the location and what is already in place. After the site visit you receive a schedule with the work and the moments we are on site.

What lead time should I allow for?+

A standard internet package arrives pre-configured in one box. For a full installation the proposal states an installation date, based on the size of the location, the delivery time of the equipment and the availability of the line.

What happens if something fails outside office hours?+

Monitoring runs 24/7 and keeps raising alerts in the evening and at weekends too. Which alerts are picked up straight away and which wait until the next working day is agreed per location in the service agreement, so you know in advance what to expect.

What is the contract term and notice period?+

We work with clear terms per location; the term and notice period are stated in the proposal before you sign. If a location moves or closes, the package can in most cases move with you instead of being written off.
